Communications and Media...

This Communication and Media policy applies to the various use of communication platforms (i.e. Email, Website, Facebook, Instagram, Heja, WhatsApp, Messenger etc.) which are used either internally or externally regarding matters of all CITY football.

The communication used must have the consideration of being respectful, effective, providing a safe and constructive means of communication which promotes the development of our club, highlights the importance of our community partnerships and to not bring the club or game into disrepute.

Lake Macquarie City Football Club will review any policy breaches and disciplinary actions will be reviewed by the committee board which may result in suspension, monetary fines and or de-registration from the club.

Social Media...

The use of social media with Lake Macquarie City Football Club allows the club to communicate effectively by promoting the club, governing association, players, partnerships and sponsorships to enhance both the spirit of football and the greater community for all.

How does City use Social Media Content?...

The content of Lake Macquarie City Football Club uses via social media provides access to information which helps reach an audience to help promote the club within the respective football competitions. Endorse and celebrate their achievements, members, partnerships and sponsorships to the broader community.

By association with our club, all affiliates to our club adhere to the codes of conduct policies and procedures and any inappropriate, negative, derogatory, defamation or any disrepute to the spirit of the game and or to Lake Macquarie City Football club will be review by the board committee.

Internal Communications...

The use of various communication platforms to convey necessary information within teams and its associated members (coaches, players and parents/carers, team officials and club officials) must consider the following:

  • Provide a safe and constructive environment to share information which is relevant to the development of players/team officials/club officials undertaking and participating in the football program at CITY.

  • Encourage and promote the values and aspirations of CITY goals and objectives without bringing either football, the club and or any other associated entities involved with CITY into disrepute.

  • Communicate respectfully to all members

  • Use common sense. If you don’t have anything nice to say, then it’s best not to say anything at all.

  • Report any inappropriate behaviour or content to the committee board

External Communications...

Lake Macquarie City Football Club has several communication mediums which are used to promote the club and its associated partnerships through Emails, Website and different social platforms (Facebook and Instagram).

The importance and use of the external platforms is to promote our club and its development of football, community partnerships and sponsors that enhance and provide the best football program to help shape the future of CITY.

When engaging the communication via Email, Website (All websites) and other social media the following must be followed:

  • Respectful and Courteous communication

  • Support, Like and Share without bringing the club, association of partnerships/sponsors into disrepute

  • Use common sense and interact appropriately with sharing content

· Report any inappropriate content to the committee board
